SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will design, test, implement, document, maintain, monitor, optimize and ensure the expandability of data center and customer facing network systems in a complex environment. You will be responsible for the remote configuration and maintenance of network equipment such as routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and VPN concentrators. In addition, you will work closely with internal USA.NET server, application and customer service teams. Additional responsibilities include the performance of network and host security scans and risk assessments, as well as working directly with customers to design, implement and diagnose a great variety of connectivity scenarios.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred with 5+ more years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing high capacity Internet data center networks and 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing Checkpoint NGX and/or PIX firewall systems. CCNP certification desired, CCIE, CCSA NGX or CCSE NGX, F5 load balancer experience a big plus. Experience with Cisco Catalyst 6500 class switch/routers (Catalyst IOS), 7600 Routers and a strong knowledge of BGP. Experience with complex VPN tunnel and routing configurations, Linux/Unix system administration skills, including shell scripting, VoIP implementation experience and a solid understanding of hosted email or other SAS environments.

SALES ENGINEER

The Sales Engineer will work closely with sales executives to effectively communicate the value of USA.NET's solutions (both technically and functionally) to prospective customers, to evoke confidence in the company's technology infrastructure and remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. Provide front-line pre-sales engineering support and strategy on complex solutions for USA.NET prospects to win revenue opportunities. Use deep technical and business skills to ensure successful presentation and evaluation of USA.NET's solutions leading to successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective presentation & demonstrations on USA.NET solutions live and via Conference Call to both technical and business audiences
  • Understand customer goals and challenges and establish USA.NET solutions as the best solutions available
  • Clearly articulate USA.NET's implementation strategies and migration methodologies to gain prospective customer's confidence in ensuring a smooth transition from their existing messaging platform
  • Make use of all available information resources to research potential sales opportunities, vertical plays, competitive information and current industry activity
  • Research, leverage, and implement tools to maximize effectiveness of the USA.NET sales team
  • Design and document processes and procedures to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 4 years sales/sales engineer experience in hosted services, specifically hosted email services
  • Strong business acumen combined with a deep understanding of messaging infrastructure technologies, and a broad understanding of many products, technologies, and solutions that integrate with messaging (i.e. encrypted email, content filtering, unified messaging, CRM, fax, etc.)
  • Experience with various proprietary messaging systems (Exchange 5.5 through 2003, Lotus Notes, GroupWise, etc.) and with Microsoft Active Directory and related tools including directory synchronization
  • Messaging experience including extensive knowledge of messaging protocols (i.e. POP, IMAP, SMTP, MAPI)
  • Deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security stack
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
  • Demonstrated strong cross group collaboration to provide the customer with any needed technical information in order to quickly progress the sale through the sales cycle.

CHANNEL MANAGER

Job Description/Responsibility

  • Responsible for the hands on management of between 15 and 30 value-added reseller and referral Partners in a specific size toward overachievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Responsible for working direct opportunities generated by designated referral Partners.
  • Responsible for the overall growth and success of designated Partners.
  • Responsible for the development, management and closure of forecasted opportunities with value-added reseller Partners.
  • Responsible for recruitment, training and engagement of designated Partners.
  • Works directly with the Director of Channel Sales to develop and implement specific Partner Account plans and Territory Account Plans in support of company goals and objectives.
  • Works directly with Director of Channel Sales and Partner Marketing Manager to develop Partner marketing strategy and plans.
  • Understands and is fluent in the delivery of the USA.NET/Perimeter vision and services story required for recruiting and retaining Partners.
  • Provides Partner feedback and updates to Director of Channel Sales.
  • Established as an expert in eMessaging and eSecurity service areas.
  • Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for selling hosted eMessaging and security services

MAJOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Major Account Executive will carry the primary responsibility of generating / closing new business sales leads and attaining overall set revenue targets as set by the company. This is a "hunter" position and quota/compensation will be based on new business. There will be no account management of existing accounts and will focus on medium, large and enterprise opportunities as defined by the Vice President of Sales. Responsible for managing all aspects of the sales cycle, the ability to work at many different levels within our prospects and deliver clearly defined value propositions at the Executive or Management level.

Requirements:
The ideal Major Account Executive will possess 5 - 7 years of direct selling experience into SMB's, preferably in the SaaS or hosted services market. Candidate must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products and SalesForce.com CRM solutions coupled with the ability to clearly articulate business, technology and operational benefits of a hosted messaging solution at the Executive or Management level.

EXCHANGE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - SENIOR LEVEL

We are currently looking for an Exchange Systems Administrator to be responsible for managing and administering a hosted Exchange environment to include the monitoring of storage, security, performance, backup/restore and configuration changes. Other duties include implementing new products or services, performing preventative maintenance, resolving operational problems related to Windows and Exchange and providing tier 3 technical support. This position will cover hours outside regular business hours.

Requirements:

  • Experience with large Exchange 2000/2003 deployments
  • 5+ years experience in Microsoft Windows NT and Exchange Systems Administration
  • Working knowledge of Windows 2003 domain structure, Windows 2003 Active Directory and Microsoft clustering technology
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, i.e. racking server equipment in the data center
  • Assume periodic 24x7 on-call responsibilities
  • Familiar with configuration and usage of email clients to include Outlook, Outlook Express and Netscape
  • Understand various access methods including POP, IMAP, HTTP (OWA), MAPI and SMTP Mailflow
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), 2000 or 2003
  • Expertise in troubleshooting server problems with a focus on rapid resolution of any system outages

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SENIOR ENGINEER

In this role, you will work closely with our solutions partners, internal technical and business teams in order to implement messaging solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, documenting their requirements, designing/planning solutions, working with technical services and solutions partners in building and piloting migration solutions and coordinating the implementation of the messaging solutions. The work will focus primarily on customer implementations and migrations to the Exchange platform, although it can also include implementing failover messaging services and messaging gateway services, as well as custom reporting, integration, product customization and other technical requests from customers. The Senior Engineer acts as a resource for resolving critical customer situations involving complex technical solutions and maintains extensive technical skills and industry certifications to provide the highest level of consulting and implementation services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-years experience in technical and consulting work
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) is highly recommended
  • Messaging experience including knowledge of messaging protocols (i.e. POP, IMAP, SMTP, MAPI)
  • Experience with various proprietary messaging systems (Exchange, Lotus Notes, GroupWise, etc.) and with Microsoft Active Directory and related tools including directory synchronization
  • Experience writing Statements of Work and Change Request processing and working on-site with customers in development of migration and communications plans
  • Excellent communication, organizational, project management, business and technology analysis skills
  • Experience in cross-functional team leadership
  • Software development experience, including writing code in any of the following programming languages VB, VBS, C#, ASP, Java, Perl, SQL
  • Proficient PC desktop skills
